UPDATE: Dannevirke Water
Thursday, 8 December 2016, 4:40pm
The Dannevirke Water Supply lost pressure last night and was restored between 9 – 10am this morning.
Council urges residents to conserve water where possible (garden hoses and sprinklers, washing cars etc.) to allow the reservoir to recover – with the exception of those residents who have been experiencing discolouration in their water.
If you have been experiencing any discolouration, it is advised that you flush your pipes by running a household tap for 5-10 minutes. If you do not see any improvement, or the decolouration worsens, please contact Council directly on 06 374 4080 to report this.
Council would like to advise that the water is safe to drink – the discolouration (or white water) is due to air in the pipe reticulation. This will dissipate overnight.
Thank you to all residents for their patience, and to those who have called Council to report issues.

Council would like to advise that the Dannevirke water supply has lost its pressure (northern upper Dannevirke). The water supply to the northern upper Dannevirke area will be restored around 9:00am.
Council apologises for this inconvenience at this busy time of the day. Where possible Council urges residents to conserve water for the rest of the morning, to allow the reservoir to recover.
