Water Supply Shutdown (Sedcole Street, Pahiatua)

The Tararua Alliance is responsible for maintaining the district’s water infrastructure to ensure access to a reliable water supply.  From time to time we need to shut down parts of the network to undertake on-going maintenance.

As part of our maintenance schedule we will be connecting the new water main in Sedcole Street, Pahiatua on Tuesday, 7 November 2017 and will need to shut down the water network while this is happening.  In order to minimise disruption as much as possible we have scheduled the shutdown between 1:30pm – 3:00pm. We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause.

When we finish work like this we flush the network to return water quality to normal, however experience tells us that some residents may find their water is cloudy for a short time due to air in the reticulation line.  If you experience cloudy water we recommend running your tap for 10 – 15 minutes, which should resolve the issue.

If your water does not return to normal after running your tap as recommended please contact Steve Twomey on 027 706 5274.

Thank you
Eddie Charlton
