Business Friendly Council
In 2014, the Tararua Business Network was established in order to support business development, to support progress in regional development and to support entrepreneurs and start-ups in the district.
Tararua Business Network continues to support the district’s business community - providing economic knowledge, statistical data and project management support to community stakeholders, local business and industry.
Various agencies have played a role in leading this strategy for supporting business potential, community potential, and marketing potential for the Tararua District.
At the core of this strategy is the partnership between Regional Business Partners - Central Economic Development Agency (CEDA) and Building Clever Companies (BCC). Initiatives such as this would not have been possible without the support of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) (MBIE) and Callaghan Innovation.
