Notice of Resolutions Passed at Extraordinary Council Meeting

The Council held an extraordinary meeting in the Tararua Business Network Training/Seminar Room on Friday 22 July 2016 to consider and approve a draft submission on the Local Government Act 2002 Amendment Bill (No 2) for forwarding to the Local Government Select Committee by the required date. At that meeting, the Council also appointed a replacement representative to vote on its behalf at the Local Government New Zealand Annual General Meeting.

A copy of the resolutions passed at that meeting are available on request from the Governance Manager, Richard Taylor, or viewed through the Council’s website in the Publications section with the agendas and minutes.

Creative Communities Funding Scheme

FUNDING OPEN | Applications for financial assistance under the Creative Communities New Zealand local funding scheme.

Projects may involve any art form or a mixture of art forms including theatre, visual, multimedia, dance, traditional arts, craft, music, literary arts and performance arts.

Application forms available from all Tararua District Council Offices or can be downloaded from the Community Funding page.

Applications close on Monday, 5 September 2016. Funding is for projects that begin after Monday, 26 September 2016.

Open Mic Poetry Evening in Woodville

Join the Woodville Library for an engaging and entertaining evening of poetry (open to adults) – don’t forget to bring along a koha and your favourite poems to read. Non-alcoholic refreshments and supper provided. BYO permitted.
