Temporary Closure of Council Service Centres and Libraries

On Tuesday, 16 February 2016, all Council Service Centres and Community Libraries will be closed until 11.00am with the exception of the Eketahuna Service Centre and Library which will be closed until 11:30am.

For assistance involving Council services during this time, please call the normal office telephone number to connect you to our after-hours service.

Financial Accountants

We have an opportunity for two full-time Financial Accountants to join our Finance team based in Dannevirke. We are looking for people with analytical minds, along with knowledge and application of accounting principles and practices. You will need to have an accounting qualification, be adaptable and technically competent. Previous experience in a local government environment is desirable but not essential.

General Assistance Grants Scheme

The Dannevirke Community Board’s General Assistance Grants Scheme is open to applications for financial assistance to support locally recognised organisations whose principal functions and/or activities are of a community or charitable nature.

Application forms and further details of the scheme are available from the Dannevirke Service Centre, 26 Gordon Street, (P O Box 115), Dannevirke. Applications close on Friday, 4 March 2016 at 5:00pm.


Registration of Interest

Council is seeking registrations of interest from individuals with skills and experience in planning and project management to join our preferred supplier list. We seek individuals with experience within the Local Government sector.

Selection from the panel will be made on a project by project basis, based on skills, experience, and value for money, in line with Council’s procurement policy.

Registrants must send a CV with covering letter to kathyd@tararuadc.govt.nz by 4:00pm Wednesday, 17 February 2016, to be considered.
