Temporary Closure of Council Service Centres and Libraries

On Tuesday, 28 June 2016, all Council Service Centres and Community Libraries will be closed until 11:00am with the exception of the Eketahuna Service Centre & Library, which will be closed until 11:30am.

For assistance involving Council services during this time, please call the normal office telephone number to connect you to our after-hours service.

Temporary Closure of Pahiatua Library

Tararua District Council would like to advise that the Pahiatua Library will be closed on Friday 1 July, Saturday 2 July and Monday 4 July for new carpet installation.

Celebrate National Poetry Day 2016 with Tararua District Library

Online Poetry Competition

This competition is open from 11 July to 22 August 2016 and is open to all NZ Residents aged 18 and over.

Submit your own original poem to library@tararuadc.govt.nz (limit of 4 poems per entrant). Please note that library staff may publish poems on the library blog (maximum of two poems per entrant).

Open Mic Poetry Evening

Join the Woodville Library for an engaging and entertaining evening of poetry – don’t forget to bring along your favourite poems to read. Please register your interest at your nearest library or contact library@tararuadc.govt.nz.

Date/Times: 24 August 2016, 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Location: Woodville Library, 42 Vogel Street, Woodville

Entry Details: Koha. Open to adults. Non-alcoholic refreshments and supper provided. BYO permitted.
