The Eketahuna Community Board’s General Assistance Grants Scheme is open to applications for financial assistance to support locally recognised organisations whose principal functions and/or activities are of a community or charitable nature.

Application forms and further details of the scheme are available from the Eketahuna Service Centre/Library, 31 Main Street, Eketahuna.

Applications close on Friday, 8 April 2016 at 4:30pm.

Land Information Assistant, Dannevirke

Part-time fixed term position

A fixed term position has been created to assist the Land Information Officer over a busy period. The fixed term is for a 12-month period. The main function of the role will be to assist the Land Information Officer with providing easy and timely access to property information held by Council.

You will need a high degree of computer operational competency and it is desirable that you have knowledge of maintaining database information. Previous local authority experience would also be an advantage.

Pavement Rehabilitation Works (Pahiatua Track Road)

Tararua District Council would like to advise that Tararua Alliance has commenced pavement rehabilitation work on Pahiatua Track Road (RP 2265–2534) with a tentative finish date of 18 April 2016.

The rehabilitation site begins approximately 300m from the Palmerston North City Council/Tararua District Council district boundaries and is approximately 270m long.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane at times, so there is a chance of small delays for some road users.

Council and Tararua Alliance would like to thank road users in advance for their patience during this time.
