CCTV Operator & Inspector

About the position

The CCTV Operator will be responsible for undertaking programmed and reactive CCTV inspections and drainage cleaning. Carrying out both routine and emergency works under the direction of our Utilities Supervisor.  You will be reporting to the Tararua Alliance Planning Manager.

You will be involved in the inspection and maintenance of the 3 waters reticulation networks across the Tararua District, fault identification and helping with solutions for repairs.  As part of the 3 waters planned works team there will be an element of both routine and reactive works while assisting with the inspection and maintenance of the 3 water reticulation networks. This role will mainly be field based but will also require some data entry and processing so reasonable computer skills are required. This is an opportunity for someone with previous utilities experience or someone wanting a change as long as you have the right attitude and work ethic.

It would be desirable if you had:

  • Experience with drainage CCTV equipment, Drainage cleaning equipment and / or pumping equipment
  • Experience with WinCan or GIS software packages
  • Current confined space entry trained
  • Any Drainage or civil contracting experience.

Experience of this type of activity (or similar) would be great, but not essential. We will provide all of the training and tools required for the operator to be successful in this role.
