  • Legal description
  • Area of site

  • Private and public stormwater and sewerage drains as shown in Council records.
  • Rating valuation and rates owing in relation to the land.
  • Consent, certificate, notice, order or requisition affecting the land or any building on the land previously issued by the Council.
  • Information, which in terms of any other Act, has been notified to the Council by any statutory organisation (ie Historic Places Trust or Department of Conservation) which has the power to classify land or buildings for any purpose.
  • Information which has been notified too the Council by any network utility operator under the Building Act.
The LIM may also include other information concerning the land that Council considers to be relevant.

When will I need a LIM?

If you are considering purchasing a property, it is recommended that you obtain a LIM before finalising the purchase. You will find a LIM very useful in assisting you to decide whether the land is worth purchasing and is free from any restrictions.

How do I obtain a LIM?

LIM application forms are available from this website under the publications/forms section, Tararua District Council service centres or they can be posted, faxed or emailed to you. You should forward your completed application along with the appropriate fee to the Council.

When will I receive the LIM?

Providing all the necessary information is supplied with your application, the LIM will be prepared within 10 working days and forwarded to you as quickly as possible.
