Council services at Level 2

Tararua District Council Services

The Majority of Council services will continue as per normal at Alert Level 2. 

The below Services have altered their operations to meet National Government guidelines: 

Service Centres and i-SITE

Service Centres and the Woodville i-SITE will reopen at Alert Level 2. To meet 1m distancing guidelines, number will be limited at each.

Libraries

All libraries are open at Level 2 offering the following reduced services:-

  • Borrowing & returning of items,
  • photocopying,
  • staff assistance in answering queries,
  • Skinny Jump registrations (preferably by appointment),
  • access to free public wifi (bring your own device), and
  • normal Service Centre counter at Woodville and Eketāhuna.

We ask that people stay at home if they’re unwell, that they wear a mask (unless they have an exemption card), they sign in, they maintain 2m physical distancing, they follow hygiene measures, & they visit for no longer than 20 minutes. There is a limit on the number of people allowed in due to the physical distancing requirement and unaccompanied children under 13 yrs are not allowed to enter (we cannot guarantee their safety nor that they are able to follow the protocols to keep safe).

We also ask that people continue to be patient with Level 2 requirements to enable us to be open and operating.

Community Pool, Halls, Sports Facilities and Playgrounds

Cemeteries

Cemetery services operate under Delta 2, must follow COVID-19 legislation and guidelines.
