Civil Defence Emergency Management in Tararua

Tararua District is part of the Manawatu Wanganui Civil Defence Emergency Management Group. Their website https://www.horizons.govt.nz/flood-emergency-management has information about planning for emergencies, natural hazards in our region, tsunami evacuation maps, flooding information, and the regional civil defence emergency management plan.

Most communities in Tararua have a developed a local civil defence plan and have a group of civil defence volunteers. Contact us if you would like more information about these.
