Tararua District Council is welcoming applications from contractors that are interested in securing future opportunities for work through becoming a Council Approved Service Provider (or “approved contractor”). All future opportunity works are listed below:


3 waters service connections (wastewater, stormwater and drinking-water)

Tararua District Council is welcoming applications from contractors that are interested in becoming a Council Approved Service Provider (or “approved contractor”) for the 3 waters service connection work (wastewater, stormwater and drinking-water).

These service connections are currently provided by the Tararua Alliance – a collaborative working agreement between Downer NZ and Tararua District Council. By enabling external contractors to carry out this work, the Tararua Alliance are able to concentrate on managing council’s core services and infrastructure. It also gives contractors an opportunity to secure business for the future.

Application details

This work is not on a fixed term. Once approved, contractors will need to confirm on an annual basis that they continue to have the necessary qualifications and are able to meet the performance criteria.

Applications are open until 5pm, Wednesday 10 June 2020. While the application process is somewhat formal, it is intended to be of minimal effort for respondents and questions and feedback are welcomed.
