Precautionary Boil Water Notice Lifted in Eketāhuna

Tararua District Council would like to advise that the precautionary boil water notice for the Eketāhuna water supply has been lifted as at 4.00pm, 19 November 2021.

Chlorine levels are now at the required level for customer use and Council has received three clear lab samples confirming there is no E. coli present in the reticulation.

The notice was issued on Monday 15 November 2021, due to heavy rain causing a turbid source water.

Council would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the residents in Eketāhuna for your cooperation and patience while this issue was resolved. Council would also like to thank Taumata Arowai for their support and advice during this time.
