About the role
The Mayors Taskforce for Jobs Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and managing initiatives aimed at achieving sustainable employment outcomes for eligible individuals. The primary focus is to ensure the successful placement of individuals into paid employment, primarily catering to those who are Not in Employment, Education, or Training (NEET) or at risk of becoming NEET. The role involves collaborating with community partners, administering pre-employment training, fostering employer engagement and facilitating access to pastoral care to support successful transitions to the workforce. This role is fixed term 18 months.
Who we are looking for
- A solid understanding of employment coordination, workforce development, and community engagement.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to manage programme documentation and reporting.
- Familiarity with government programmes and services related to employment, such as flexi-wage and other support initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with employers, community partners, and local organisations.
