Facilities and Management
Tararua Aquatic Community Trust are responsible for the management of the Wai Splash Community Pool.

The aquatic facilities include two heated pools operating most days all year round:
- 25m lane pool
- 12m learners pool
Activities at the facility include:
- Swim School
- Aqua Aerobics
- Large blow up toys - these are often in use and supervised during school holidays
- New paddle boats in 2017
Management is implementing the New Zealand Recreation Association “Pool Safe” system of operations at the facility.

Please note: For swim club fees - Dannevirke Swim Club or other, please contact swim clubs directly.
Facility or lane bookings are available inside or outside standard opening hours, upon negotiation with the Aquatics Manager.
Wai Splash's hours are seasonal and therefore will change depending. Head to their website to see the most up-to-date hours.
Christmas opening and closures are as follows:
Closed 24 to 26 December
Closed 31 December to 2 January
Open Wednesday 3 January 7am to 5pm
Open Thursday 4 January 7am to 5pm
Open Friday 5 January 9am to 5pm
Open Saturday 6 January 9am to 5pm
Open Sunday 7 January 10am to 5pm

Aqua Aerobics & Aqua Fit - The Wet Way to a Fit Body
Monday, Wednesdays & Friday 9:15am - Tuesday & Thursday Night - 6pm
No need to book, just turn up. Less stress on joints than land aerobics, more resistance within the water! A great way to get active and stay active.
Tuesday Night Session is slightly more intense and is Aqua Fit.
General Information and Contact Details
Children under 8 must be actively supervised by a caregiver 16 or over. Actively supervised means watching your child at all times, and being able to provide immediate assistance. Children under 5 must be within arms reach at all times.
