Dannevirke Aerodrome
Located just 3 km southwest of Dannevirke town centre, the Dannevirke Aerodrome is a Council-owned and operated facility offering convenient access for general aviation. This unattended aerodrome is open for use without prior permission from the operator, making it an excellent choice for pilots in the region.
Facilities and Operations
- Fuel availability: both Aviation Jet A1 and AVGAS (Air BP) are available on the northwestern corner of the airfield.
- Runway maintenance: mowing of runways and operational areas may occur at any time, so keep an eye out for maintenance activity.
- Helipad: on the eastern side of the runway for rescue operations only - please keep clear at all times.
- Fire extinguishers, first aid kit: situated at the Dannevirke Flying Club hangar.
- Public toilet: on the eastern side of the runway.
