Building Packet Requests
A building packet is a collection of documents that Tararua District Council holds about a property, anyone can request building records for any property in the district.
This can include:
- Building Consents
- Code of Compliance
- Permits
- Building/Floor Plans
- Drainage Plans
- Specifications
- Calculations
- Photos
- Location of Toby
- Any other relevant information
- The contents depend on what Council has on file. Some properties (especially older ones) may have limited information
- A Building Packet is not a LIM and does not include a summary or legal statement
- Information is provided as-is from Council records
- Some documents may be missing, incomplete, or not digitised

Yes, Building Packets cost $77.00
How Long Does a Packet Take?
A building Packet can take up to 20 working days, but we aim to email the files to you within 5-10 working days.
