Register of Pecuniary Interests of Elected Members

This page holds the current Register of Pecuniary Interests, published in February 202. The current register covers the period from 29 January 2024 to 28 January 2025.

The Pecuniary Interests Register is a relatively new requirement under the Local Government Act 2002, and came into effect from 20 November 2022.

The purpose of the Register is to record elected members' interests, so as to provide transparency and to strengthen public trust and confidence in local government processes and decision-making.

The register records such information as name of each company a member may be a director  of, name of every company or business entity in which a member may have a pecuniary interest, name of each employer of the member, name of each Trust in which the member has a beneficial interest, name of any organisation or trust the member is a member of, and whether that organisation receives funding from the Council, location of real property the member has a legal interest in.

The Register is updated on an annual basis.
