Chris Corlett

My principal place of residence is in the South Tararua Ward area. I am also standing for Eketāhuna Community Board.

With a strong background in project management and coordination through my work in the private and government sector, I understand how to plan effectively, achieve targets and deliver results. I’m proud to be a new firefighter, where I’ve seen the importance of safety, teamwork, and supporting people in real moments of need. I'm actively involved in the Eketāhuna Health Centre, Eketāhuna Radio Society and the Our Town committee.

The experience I have gained has given me a strong understanding of some of the challenges that our people and communities face. I’m running for council because I care about where we’re headed and want to play a hands-on role in shaping that future. I believe in honest conversations, practical solutions, and decisions that reflect what people actually want and need. I would be honoured to represent our community and help build a safer, more connected, and thriving place for everyone.
