43 nominations were received in the 2025 local body elections for Tararua District Council.
An election will be held between the listed candidates on Saturday 11 October 2025 under the first past the post (FPP) electoral system by postal vote. The Tararua District Council has resolved under regulation 31 of the Local Electoral Regulations 2001 to adopt the random order of candidate names to appear on the voting documents.
