My principal place of residence is in the South Tararua Ward area. I am also standing for Mayor.

I'm Evan Nattrass and owner of Woodville's The Viking's Haul. I'm a keen historian and proud of the Scandinavian heritage that I share with many in the Tararua. I want to see improvement in our local democratic systems. Council needs to seek greater community input into its annual planning processes. Community boards & committees need broader representation, with greater influence and input into Council decision making. The low input we get represents disenfranchisement. We need more involvement to get better results.

With natural disasters becoming more likely, I want to see Council leading the way with Civil Defence and emergency preparedness.

As part of a team, I offer community & business experience, an analytical mind and the ability to listen and to advocate. We have so much potential, but we need to work together.
