Ron Wallace

My principal place of residence is in the North Tararua Ward area. I am also standing for Dannevirke Community Board.

My name is Ron Wallace I am locally born and bred in Dannevirke. I am putting my name forward to stand as a councillor and community board.

After having nearly three years on the Dannevirke Community Board I feel now is the right time to have a go at becoming a councillor to represent the people of the northern ward of Tararua District Council.

I have learnt the biggest issue on any committee or council is keeping people informed on what is going on in the council and community.

Transparency, accountability and affordability are large issues when representing the ratepayers.

After having my own business and working for local businesses I have seen all sides of issues we have in the district.

I’m fortunate that my two sons live in Dannevirke and have three beautiful grandchildren and feel we need to think of young families who are our future.
