Experience for changing times

My principal place of residence is in the North Tararua Ward area.

I have served as a District Councillor for the past six years. In that time I have contributed towards two LTP’s, championed development of District and Growth Strategies and held the portfolio representing the Akitio/Pongaroa areas.

I have extensive governance experience serving on a wide range of boards. I have strong networks throughout our district, having lived here for 35 years, and I’m well placed to advocate on behalf of community concerns. I work hard, am prepared for meetings and I contribute actively at the Council table where my questions reflect the importance of prudent use of ratepayer money while making decisions focused on a positive future.

Challenging times lie ahead in delivery of water, core infrastructure (roading, waste management) and community services while keeping spending affordable for our ratepayers. It would be a privilege to apply my experience in continuing to serve our community during changing times.
