Pragmatic Tararua Leadership

My principal place of residence is in the Tararua District Council area. I am also standing for North Tararua Ward.

Born in Dannevirke, I have lived here most of my life and proudly call this district home. I was elected as a Northern Ward Councillor in the last election and currently serve as Deputy Chair of the Infrastructure and Climate Change Committee.

This role has expanded my understanding of Local Government and its challenges. I also bring decades of business experience, having owned a successful electrical company and trained people in a range of industries.

We are living in a time of constant change, with increasing pressure from both internal and external factors. As a ratepayer myself, I understand the importance of value for money and responsible decision making.

With a strong background in both business and governance, I believe now is the right time to put myself forward as your next Mayor. I am committed to delivering pragmatic, honest leadership that puts the needs of our communities first.
