My principal place of residence is in the Tararua District Council area.

I’ve been privileged to serve as your Mayor and seek re-election to continue this work amid significant changes ahead.

When severe weather events and the pandemic tested our communities, we came through together. I led our response while securing over $80 million in recovery funding.

During nine years as Mayor, we've achieved real results. The toll-free highway will save families money for generations. Our population’s grown by 1,100 residents. NZTA funding for roads has increased, saving ratepayers millions.

Having farmed and raised my family in Tararua, I understand rural pressures.

As chair leading work with neighbouring councils and with strong government relationships, Tararua is well-positioned to navigate major reforms to water services, Resource Management Act and building legislation. These transitions require experienced leadership and partnerships that deliver results.
