We are looking for a Rates and Revenue Officer who together with the Revenue Team have overall responsibility for the rating information and records in Council.

The Rates and Revenue Officer will assist in the delivery of a range of services which include:

  • Assist in the accurate maintenance of the rates database
  • Ensuring compliance with the relevant Acts, policies, practices and systems as they relate to rating and revenue operations
  • Assist in the delivery of accurate rating and revenue advice to property owners

The successful applicant for this position will ideally have well-developed customer service and communications skills. In addition to these skills, attention to detail, sound financial management skills and a strong sense of teamwork will be required to succeed in this role. A large part of this role will be working collaboratively across the organisation.

Essential to the role is an understanding of and ability to maximise the use of available technologies and systems to improve productivity and efficiency within the Revenue Team along with demonstrated ability to embrace new technology and processes.

Ideally have demonstrated knowledge of an accounts receivable and/or rates environment, and must have  experience with the Microsoft suite of software.
