Annual Report
The Council is required to prepare and adopt an annual report each financial year under Section 98 (1) of the Local Government Act 2002.
On Wednesday 28 October 2026, Council adopted its Annual Report for the 2025/26 financial year – giving our community a look at what we’ve been working on, what we’ve achieved and how we’ve performed against the plans we set for the year.
From essential infrastructure and water services, to roading, community facilities, emergency management and everything in between, there’s a lot happening across Tararua.
The Annual Report also provides an overview of Council’s financial performance and how ratepayer funding has been used throughout the year.
The 2025/26 Annual Report will be available to view on our website shortly.
The purpose of an annual report is to:
- Compare the actual activities and the actual performance of the Council in the year with the intended activities and the intended level of performance as set out in the long term council community plan and the annual plan
- Promote the Council's accountability to the community for the decisions made throughout the year by the Council
