Annual Budget
On 24 June 2026, Tararua District Council adopted its 2026/27 Annual Budget and Fees and Charges, confirming an average rates increase of 4.83% from 1 July 2026.
This increase is significantly lower than the 11.84% projected in the Long Term Plan and reflects Council's commitment to balancing affordability with the continued delivery of essential services.
As there are no significant changes from the Long Term Plan, Council did not undertake formal consultation this year. The focus has been on maintaining services, managing costs, and delivering value for ratepayers.
