Fundraising Support
Discussion with a range of community organisations has identified a strong need for support with fundraising. Many organisations are not applying for funding that is currently open to them due to number of reasons (e.g. resources, understanding of what’s available, confidence to write applications that meet criteria).
Council now provides support for:
- Helping groups and individuals access funds by directing to funding portals and databases
- Connecting groups and individuals to funders that can provide advice and guidance on where and how to apply
- Supporting non-commercial groups and individuals with applications to funds (with the aim of up-skilling groups to be able to complete applications independently in the future)
BOOK A FUNDRAISING SUPPORT APPOINTMENT:Fundraising support appointments are available and will teach you how to search online databases for funds, give you an overview of local funding opportunities and provide you with a template that you can use to develop your fundraising plan. Support is also available for first-time grant applications to assist with the process of using online forms and to give helpful tips and tricks for writing compelling applications.
