Building Consent Software
Updated 13 April 2026
We’re replacing our GoGet building consent processing software. For most of our customers, there will be very little change to how you submit applications.
The new software is called Consent-IT and is provided by New Zealand company Allly. The new system will support a more modern and user-friendly consenting process.
The main impact is for anyone who currently has a Request for Information (RFI) outstanding, particularly where the RFI has been open for 30 days or more.
Benefits of the Consent-IT software include:
- faster consenting through statutory clock automations - reducing avoidable rework and delays
- fewer, and shorter RFI cycles
- better customer experiences through digital lodgement and tracking, as well as self-service visibility
We expect the new system will go live in late early June 2026. Our building team will get in touch with applicants that are getting close to the new system coming online in order to help them get their RFI's completed in good time.
Will you be applying for consent in the very near future?
There are two options, as follows:
Not recommended: Apply now while we are on the current software. You will have a limited time to complete your application (no later than 29 May 2026). Unfinished applications are unable to be migrated to the new system and you will lose all progress. You will still be required to pay for any work done by our building team staff on behalf of your application. Our building team staff will be in touch with you to help you and encourage you to get your application past the finish line to prevent that situation but completion ultimately rests with the applicant.
Recommended: Wait until the 2 June 2026 before applying. Your application will be processed on the new software. You will have the maximum timeframe available to complete your application. Our building team staff will assist you throughout your application to ensure its completion.
