Pongaroa Water Supply

The Pongaroa water supply covers the settlement of Pongaroa.

The Pongaroa Rural Water Supply abstracts water from a local spring, filters and distributes it across an extensive area. The Pongaroa township supply stores water from the rural supply in concrete tanks and then feeds it under gravity to the Pongaroa water treatment plant.

It is then filtered, softened, UV treated and chlorinated. The treated water is then stored in two process tanks & two 25m3 potable water tanks before being pressure-fed into the township reticulation.
