Tararua Playground Upgrades

Norsewood - Complete

Timber edging has been installed around the Roktapus and topped up with safety bark.

Pahiatua - Complete

• Timber edging has been installed around the horizontal wooden rocker.
• Entire playground has received a chip top-up. Rocker edging has been filled with chip.

Eketāhuna - Complete

• Old swings and rockers have been removed.
• New swings, rocker, seesaw and spinner has been installed.

Dannevirke Domain

• The existing junior play structure will be replaced with a similar new structure.
• Infant swings will be replaced with new swings.
• The chip will be dug out from under the climbing structure and replaced with new chip.
• The rest of the playground will receive a chip top-up once the new climbing structure is installed. The playground will likely be closed while the chip installation is done.
• The estimated dates for this work is 12-26 October - this will be done after the school holidays to minimise disruption.

Ormondville - Complete

• Old equipment, other than the carousel, has been removed.
• New swings, seesaw and rocker have been installed.
• Timber edging and safety bark has been installed.
• The carousel will be refurbished. (This is maintenance, and not part of the Capex project).

Pongaroa - Complete

• The old playground structure on Coast Road has been removed by the community.
• New swings, seesaw, rocker and balance beams have been installed.
• Timber edging and additional safety bark has been installed.

Dannevirke Coronation Park

• Timber edging has been installed.
• The playground will also be filled with safety bark to provide a safe play structure.
• Remedial work will also be carried out on the existing play structure.
