Deed of Licence for Reserve Land at Mangatainoka Domain

Pursuant to section 74(2) of the Reserves Act 1977, the Tararua District Council as administrating body, gives notice of its intention to issue a Deed of Licence and invites tenders for the grazing of the following reserve land for a term of five (5) years:

  • 8.93  hectares more or less situated at State Highway 2, Mangatainoka
  • 1.11 hectares more or less situated on corner of Cemetery Road & State Highway 2, Mangatainoka
  • 1.15 hectares more or less situated at 81310 State Highway 2, Mangatainoka

The above land is managed by the Mangatainoka Domain Board.

A copy of the terms and conditions of the Deed of Licence is available on the Council website or at the Pahiatua Service Centre. Envelopes containing tenders should clearly be marked tender for grazing of Mangatainoka Domain reserve land, and sent to Carrie Newell, Information Officer, Tararua District Council, P O Box 115, Dannevirke 4942.

Tenders close at 4.00pm on Thursday 11th November 2021 and should be submitted on the Tender Application Form. Acceptance of any tender is at the sole discretion of the Council. The highest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.


Any person or organisation who would like to make a submission or object to the proposal to grant a Deed of Licence may do so. If you make an objection or submission, the opportunity is available to present your comments in person to the Council’s Tribunal and Hearings Committee at a meeting held for this purpose, and they should include such requests to indicate your intentions. These are to be sent to the Information Officer at the address shown in this notice, and will be received up until the date as specified above.
