Finalists chosen for the Chorus Telecom Cabinet Art Competition

Published 10 Oct 2022

Tararua District Council, in partnership with Chorus, have chosen the finalists in the 2022 Chorus Cabinet art competition.

Local artist Anne Berry has submitted a design that features a strong message of road safety. It will feature on a cabinet in Dannevirke at 1 Stairs Street and will depict a child from South School on patrol at a pedestrian crossing.

The design submitted for Princess Street in Dannevirke was submitted by The Dannevirke Art Society and depicts a field of poppies.

The Woodville cabinet will feature a modern, bright tui painting by Laura Cannon which will be a memorable addition to the main street.

Ellie Moore has successfully submitted a design that will grace the Main Road of Pahiatua and will feature a twilight sky, with creative native constellations.

The artists have until the end of March 2023 to display their creative designs onto the telecom cabinets. We look forward to seeing their artwork brighten up the streets across the district.
