MSFT Productions ‘Fuel Your Stoke’ free event set for Pongaroa.

Tararua District Council & Tararua Rural Support Trust are thrilled to be bringing the special, one-off MSFT Productions/SPARK THAT CHAT event ‘Fuel Your Stoke’ to Pongaroa this February.

After Cyclone Gabrielle, Hawke’s Bay local and MSFT Productions owner Jack Jensen was immediately keen to create something for those hardest hit by the Cyclone.

‘Fuel Your Stoke’ was created.  The music, mental health and wellbeing event had 7 stops throughout Hawke’s Bay in the winter of 2023, including shows at Tutira, Eskdale, Puketapu, Meeanee, Tikokino, TukiTuki and Patangata.  It was a way for impacted communities to connect, learn and have fun, while boosting morale and proving access to mental health resources and support.

With support from Tararua District Council and Tararua Rural Support Trust, MSFT Productions are now extending this tour with a special, one-off, free Tararua gig on Sunday February 18th at the Pongaroa Sports Ground/Domain.

Jensen says, ‘we will be welcoming everyone from all age groups and demographics to maximise the amount of smiles we can put on faces and create a ripple effect of positivity and encourage good mental health practises’.

The free, BYO, all ages, family friendly event will kick off at 2pm and run through until 8pm.  It will include 5 bands and 3 speakers.  Food is provided and attendees will need to ensure they drink responsibly and organise a ride home.

It’s set to be an afternoon filled with live music, inspiring talks, delicious hot food and activities for kids and adults that will ‘fuel your stoke’.

Jensen is looking forward to bringing this event to the Tararua, ‘we can’t wait to bring your epic community together, embrace the silver linings, and reignite the flame of resilience and wellbeing within the community. It’s about looking after yourself, your spouse, your mates, family and colleagues - you never know who might have been needing a good time the most.”
