Connect with funders at the Tararua District Funders Forum

30 September 2024

The Tararua District Council is excited to host the highly anticipated Tararua District Funders Forum for 2024. Scheduled for Wednesday, 9 October, the forum will take place at the Pahiatua Town Hall, offering a valuable opportunity for community groups, organisations, and individuals to connect with a variety of funding providers.

The event, which is free to attend, will feature representatives from major funders who can provide insight into available grants and share tips on how to craft successful funding applications. The Tararua District Funders Forum has become a key event for locals seeking financial support to bring their ideas to life, from community projects and events to educational and cultural initiatives.

Councillor Scott Gilmore will serve as the Master of Ceremonies, leading both the event and the Q&A panel session, where attendees will have the chance to ask questions and engage with funders. There will be no formal presentations—just an open and interactive panel discussion.

The panel will feature:

Jeremie Corroenne – Community Advisor, Department of Internal Affairs
Neil Attapattu – Community Advisor, Eastern and Central Community Trust
Ruma Karaitiana – Chair, Central Energy Trust

The Tararua District Council would like to extend a special thanks to Eastern and Central Community Trust for their generous sponsorship of this event. Their support is instrumental in helping bring together funders and the community to foster collaboration and growth.

Whether you’re a seasoned applicant or completely new to the process, the Tararua District Funders Forum provides a welcoming environment to ask questions, build networks, and get your projects funded.
