Applications for Round 2 of the 2025/26 District-wide Contestable Fund will close on 4 March. The Contestable Fund amounts to $100,000 annually and is open to not-for-profit organisations and individuals operating within the Tararua District to bring ideas to life that will make a lasting impact in our communities. Projects must demonstrate clear community benefits and match the priorities for funding criteria outlined on our website such as supporting:

• A thriving district
• Local culture and traditions
• Improvements to our environment
• Improvements to facilities and infrastructure
• Enhancing community wellbeing

International representation is also considered for funding applications.
