We've pulled together a list of all the council services over the holiday season, as well as community facilities like local swimming pools.

Eketāhuna
The Eketāhuna swimming pool will open for the 2025/26 summer season from Saturday 20 December 2025. It is likely to be open until mid-March 2026.

Pahiatua
The Pahiatua swimming pool aims to open for the 2025/26 summer season from Saturday 20 December 2025. It is likely to be open until mid-March 2026.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Keys for all bookings during this period must be collected by 11:00am on Wednesday 24 December 2025
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻: Keys must be returned via the after-hours slot at each Customer Service Centre immediately after the booking

LANDFILLS & TRANSFER STATIONS

All landfills and transfer stations are closed on Christmas Day and New Years Day. Normal operating hours otherwise apply.
KERBSIDE RECYCLING

Due to Christmas and New Year Day both falling on a scheduled Thursday recycling collection day, collection changes are required as follows:
- Dannevirke: Normal service
- Pahiatua: Normal service
- Woodville and Eketāhuna: You have 2 changes:
- Instead of Thursday 25 December 2025 (Christmas Day) your glass recycling service will be done on Friday 26 December 2025.
- Instead of Thursday 1 January 2026 (New Years Day) your mixed recyclable service will be done on Friday 2 January 2026.

LAND INFORMATION MEMORANDUM (LIM) + FOOD/ALCOHOL APPLICATIONS
A Land Information Memorandum (LIM) is a report that provides information held by the Council about a specific property. The report is prepared by the council, at your request.
Our processing dates for LIMs will be different due to the Christmas and New Year break.
The last day for LIM report requests to be completed before Christmas is Friday 5 December 2025. Any requests received after 5 December will not be completed before we close on 24 December.
Please note: no LIM processing will occur between Friday, 19 December 2025 and 8am, Thursday, 8 January 2026.
Food and alcohol licensing or renewal applications, including special licences and manager certificates, will not be processed from 20 December 2025 to 15 January 2026.
OUR ANTENNO REPORTING APP IS ON HOLIDAY TOO!
