Our recent Pawfect Pooch dog photograph competition concluded on 5 August and resulted in 51 entries.

In partnership with Tararua Veterinary Services and Vet Services Hawke's Bay / Dannevirke, judging the great images proved very difficult indeed! We also ran a People's Choice where dog lovers around Tararua voted on their favourite dog - resulting in a hotly contested vote!

For the People's Choice, 18 month old Schnauzer ‘Soul’, owned by Julie Johnson, won people's hearts with 153 votes, closely followed by 7 month old ‘Elfie’, owned by Donna Thomson with a nail-bitingly close 151 votes!

Our expert judges at Tararua Veterinary Services and Vet Services Hawke's Bay / Dannevirke went through all of the entries to decide their top three pawfect pooches and we are delighted to reveal the Tararua's ‘Top Dogs’. Scan the QR code to see all the great entrants on our Facebook page.

• 3rd place: Ozzy (owner Sophia Duthie)

Our wonderful partners put up some great prizes that awarded not only the great pictures but also as an acknowledgment of the
dogs being registered for the year which was a requirement for all entries. We would like to thank Tararua Veterinary Services and
Vet Services Hawke's Bay / Dannevirke for their support and judging throughout the Pawfect Pooch competition.
