Tararua District Council is advising the public that an unclaimed pig currently being held at the Dannevirke Stock Pound is scheduled to be sold by public auction unless reclaimed by its owner.

The large white male pig was seized for impounding at Eketāhuna on 17 June 2026 and is currently being cared for at the Dannevirke Stock Pound.

Under the Impounding Act 1955, notice is hereby given that, unless the stock is claimed by its owner and all associated charges are paid, it will be sold by public auction or otherwise disposed of in accordance with the Act.
