Annual Report 2024/25 almost completed

The Draft Annual Report for 2024/25 was discussed at Council on Wednesday 27 August.

This report gives our community a look at the work done by council over the past year. The report
is still in draft form.

The numbers are still to be checked by auditors, which will start soon. It shows a picture of the
important projects and services completed during the year.

One of the biggest achievements this year was finishing the Huarahi Tūhono – Weber
to Wimbledon Route 52 upgrade project. This project is one of the largest road
improvement projects council has done in recent years. It cost $16.8 million,
with all funding coming from government sources.

The road is now safer and more reliable for people traveling through our district.
The project recently won the top award and Community award at the Asset
Management Excellence Awards, Āpōpō.

All our water treatment plants are now making clean, safe drinking water. We finished upgrading
the Norsewood plant, and the Dannevirke water supply is no longer leaking.

The Draft Annual Report will be finished after the audit is complete. The final audited report will
be put for consideration to the new Council by 31 October 2025.
