Labour Day Public Holiday

On Monday 27 October, New Zealand will observe the Labour Day public holiday.  This means there may be some changes to the operating hours for some of our services on Monday:

Customer Services:
Our service centres will be closed.  However, we will still be available 24/7 on our phonelines for any emergencies.  Any non-urgent requests will be actioned on Tuesday 28 October.

isite:
The Tararua isite will be closed

Libraries:
All libraries will be closed

Refuse Collection: Please check with your relevant supplier

Kerbside reycling:
Kerbside recycling will operate as normal - please place your glass crate kerbside by 7:30am on your regular collection day.

Transfer stations:
Dannevirke transfer station will remain open unless impacted by further severe weather.  All other transfer stations are not affected as they do not normally open on a Monday.  Refer to our website for specific site information and severe weather updates.

Regulatory services (Animal Control and Noise Control)
For any enquiries regarding noise complaints, lost or roaming dogs, dog attacks or loose stock, please call us on 06 374 4080 or 06 376 0110.

Public Conveniences:
Camping Grounds: All campgrounds will operate as normal, unless impacted by severe weather.  Please see on-site signage for individual campground information.
Swimming Pools: Community swimming pools are currently closed (out of season). The Wai Splash Community Pool is open and hosting a free Labour Day event for the public from 10am - 3pm.
