Voting for the 2025 Local Body Elections closed at 12 noon on Saturday 11 October. Preliminary results for the Tararua District Council elections are now available.

Final results are expected to be publicly released on Thursday 16 October 2025, once special votes have been counted.

Newly elected members will take office the day after the Final Results are officially declared. Current councillors remain in office until that time.

The official declaration of Final Results will be published on Council’s website and Facebook page, and in the next available edition of the Bush Telegraph newspaper.
