Reclassification of reserves within the Tararua District Council

Tararua District Council notifies its intention to:

a) recommend to the Minister of Conservation to reclassify the reserve parcels described in Schedule One pursuant to Section 24 of the Reserves Act 1977 (RA), and

b) change the purpose of the reserve parcels described in Schedule Two by notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

The reserve parcels described in the Schedules below are proposed to be reclassified from their existing classification to ensure classifications reflect the primary purpose they are held for under the RA. The reasons for each proposal are included in each Schedule.

These classifications relate to individual land parcels, which in many cases only make up a portion of a wider park area.


Schedule One
