Nominations for Eketāhuna's annual Alf Rowden Humanitarian Award are now open for 2026.

The Alf Rowden Humanitarian Award recognises people that provide exceptional voluntary service or work in the Eketāhuna Community. 24 awards have been bestowed to date. The Eketāhuna Community Board welcomes your nominations between Monday 2 March and Friday 10 April 2026. Please nominate in writing and address to the Manager – Democracy Services, and either deliver to the Eketāhuna Service Centre / Library or email to: governance@tararuadc.govt.nz
