Two temporary road closures are scheduled in April to allow for essential maintenance work on key routes between Tararua and Manawatū. Saddle Road will be closed from Monday 13 April to Friday 17 April, between 7am and 5pm each day.

This will be followed by a closure of the Pahiatua Track from Monday 20 April to Friday 24 April, also between 7am and 5pm daily.

During both closures, motorists are advised to use State Highway 3 via Te Ahu a Turanga – Manawatū Tararua Highway as the detour route.

The closures are necessary to enable maintenance work to be carried out safely and efficiently. Road users are asked to plan ahead and allow additional travel time. Visit: Current Road Status | Tararua District Council
