Rates Rebate applications are now open – and applying is now easier with our new online form!

The 2026/27 Rates Rebate Scheme is now open, and eligible ratepayers can apply for a rebate to help reduce the cost of their rates.

Tararua District Council has introduced a new online Rates Rebate application form, providing a more convenient way for residents to complete their application. The online form allows eligible residents to apply digitally, while still following and providing the same process and requirements as the existing paper application.

Important: When you apply, you will need to provide proof of income, and other supporting documentation such as proof of SuperGold Card (if applicable).

If you have received a rates rebate in the past, you will still receive a paper application form with your rates notice. Paper forms are also available from our service centres for anyone who prefers to apply this way.

Applications for the 2026/27 Rates Rebate must be received by 30 June 2027.
